Teams & club

Your team and club

See who's on your team, invite new members, switch between the teams in your club, and — if you're an admin — shape how your team looks and works.

What this covers

Your team is the group you play or train with — its roster, chat, events and settings all live together in ClubMeister. A club can hold several teams, and if you belong to more than one you can hop between them without logging out. This guide walks through your team space, inviting people, adjusting team settings, and moving around your club.

What you can do depends on your role. Everyone can browse the roster; inviting people, editing roles and changing team settings are reserved for admins. If a button described here isn't there for you, you likely don't have that permission.

Your team space

Open the Team tab from the bottom navigation (it's labelled Members in the web top bar), or the side menu → Team. Your own profile card sits at the top — photo, role and email, with quick access to Edit Profile, Settings and log out. Below it, the roster is organised into tabs:

  • Team — everyone who's been approved, each with a role pill.
  • Pending — people waiting to be approved (admins only; a red dot appears when someone's waiting).
  • Search — type a name to find a member quickly.

On a wider screen or in your browser, the same page shows the roster as a table. Select a member to open a side panel with Message, Call, Edit role and Remove from team.

If you're an admin, you can long-press a member (or use Edit role on the web) to change their role, and Remove from team takes them off the roster after a confirmation. You can never change your own role or remove yourself.

Removing a member only takes them off this team. If they belong to other teams in the same club, they stay on those.

Approve new members

People who join by team code or invite arrive as pending. Until an admin approves them, they can only view and edit their own profile — they can't see the roster, events or chat.

  1. As an admin, open the Pending tab (the red dot tells you someone's waiting).
  2. Tap Approve User and confirm.
  3. The person is given the Viewer role and moves to the Team tab. You can change their role at any time afterwards.

Invite people to your team

There are two ways to bring people in — email invitations and your team's join code. You can reach the invite screen from the invite button on the Team tab, Invite in the web top bar, or the side menu → Invite Users.

  1. By email: type any number of email addresses and tap Send invites. Each address gets an invitation mail.
  2. By code: every team has a unique join code (like AB-12-CD). Tap the code box to copy it, or tap Share Team Code to send a ready-made join link through your usual apps.

However people join, they start as pending and need an admin to approve them before they're fully on the team.

The code works for anyone, so it's the fastest way to onboard a whole squad — drop it in your existing group chat and let everyone join at once.

Team settings

Admins can shape the team from the side menu → Settings & Appearance. It's split into three tabs:

  • GeneralChange logo, edit the Name, Division and League, and pick your Sports type and Timezone from searchable lists. Tap Save changes when you're done. You can also Export team data from here.
  • Colors — choose a Team color and an optional Secondary color from the preset swatches, or use Custom color for the colour wheel. Check the Preview, then tap Apply colors.
  • Linktree — keep a tidy list of your team's links. Add a link takes a label and a URL, and you can delete entries you no longer need.

Your team colours re-brand the whole app for everyone on the team. Picking a swatch only updates your own preview — nothing changes for your team-mates until you tap Apply colors.

Your club and switching teams

If your club has more than one team, admins can manage them from the side menu → Club. The Your teams screen lists every team as a card, with the one you're currently in highlighted.

  1. Switch teams: tap another team's card. The app re-loads into that team — its roster, events, colours and your permissions all update. It's a quick, full switch, so give it a moment to settle.
  2. Add a team: tap Add another team to run through the same short setup you used to create your first team; the new team joins the same club.
  3. Shared calendar: flip the Shared calendar visibility toggle so teams in your club can see each other's events.

Complete your profile

Some teams ask for a few extra details — the kind of thing your club needs on file. When your team defines fields you haven't filled in yet, a Complete your profile! prompt appears on your home screen.

  1. Tap Complete now to open the short wizard.
  2. Answer one field per page — a bit of text, or picking from a set of options — and tap Continue.
  3. The last page saves your answers and drops you back on the home screen.
