  2. ClubMeister for Rugby

The team app that speaks rugby.

Most team apps were built for baseball practice. ClubMeister runs real rugby clubs in California every week — selection and team sheets, training RSVPs, tournament day with live scores, carpools to away games, and club dues. One ad-free app for the whole club, 7s and 15s.

Built for the game

Everything between registration and kickoff.

Your union's registration system tells you who may play — Rugby Xplorer for Rugby Australia and USA Rugby clubs alike. ClubMeister handles everything else your club does all season.

🏉

Team sheets that know rugby

Name your 1–15 and finishers with proper rugby union positions — loosehead to fullback — for both 15s and 7s, then share the team sheet straight to club chat.

Know your numbers by Tuesday

RSVPs with push and SMS reminders plus attendance analytics — so selection isn't a WhatsApp scavenger hunt the night before a match.

🏆

Tournament day, handled

Pools, brackets, schedules, referees, live scores and standings for 7s tournaments and youth festivals — with public pages anyone can follow, no login, no app.

🚗

Away days without the spreadsheet

Built-in carpools: drivers offer seats, players and parents claim them, pickups are sorted right next to the fixture.

💳

Dues without the awkward chase

Collect club dues, tour fees, and kit money in-app via Stripe — it works on the free plan, so you can collect before you ever pay us.

🏠

One club, every side

Seniors, women's side, old boys, juniors — every team under one club with shared events and one admin portal. One price per club, never per team.

From Rugby Xplorer to kickoff

Bring your Rugby Xplorer roster across in minutes.

Already registered your players in Rugby Xplorer — whether that's with Rugby Australia or USA Rugby? You don't have to type anyone in twice. Export your roster, upload the file, and your whole squad lands in ClubMeister — invited, matched, and ready for selection.

1

Export from Rugby Xplorer

Download your club's member list from Rugby Xplorer — the registration platform behind Rugby Australia and USA Rugby — as a CSV or Excel file, with names, emails, phone numbers, and whatever else you keep on record.

2

Upload to ClubMeister

In the web admin, open Data Import and drop the file in. ClubMeister reads your columns and maps them to the right profile fields for you — you just confirm.

3

The whole squad's in

New players get a Join the Team invite, players you already have are matched (no duplicates), and extra columns like membership number are kept as custom fields.

Rugby Xplorer stays your system of record for union membership and eligibility — ClubMeister runs everything after that: training RSVPs, selection, match day, tournaments, and dues. Roster changed mid-season? Re-import any time and existing members are updated, not duplicated. See the step-by-step guide →

The 7s season secret weapon

Run your tournament live.

Hosting a 7s tournament or a youth festival? ClubMeister gives you pools, brackets, kickoff schedules, referee assignments, and live scores & standings on a public page — every coach, parent, and spectator follows along from a link or QR code. No login. No printouts taped to a tent.

Hosting in California or Australia? We'll set your first tournament up with you — the digital side of your tournament day, free. You run the rugby; we make it look professional.

Why rugby

Built on real California rugby.

ClubMeister isn't a generic sports app with rugby bolted on. It was built with Rebellion Rugby, a Los Angeles rugby club founded in 2001, and it runs California rugby clubs week in, week out — training nights, selection, match days, tournaments, and the dues that keep the lights on. When something annoys a rugby club, it gets fixed.

“Every feature on this page exists because a rugby club needed it on a Tuesday night.”

League plan, free for your club — for real.

We're building ClubMeister into the home of club rugby, and the first 50 clubs get in as founding clubs: the full League plan, free through June 30, 2027. Open to rugby clubs in California and Australia — two rugby communities, one founding cohort of 50.

  • League plan free through June 30, 2027 — unlimited members, tournaments with public live scores, 300 free SMS reminders a month, and the lowest payment fee (2%). Normally $290/year.
  • Open to California and Australian clubs — seniors, women's, colts, juniors, community or premier grade. Australian clubs get kick-off times, RSVPs and reminders in your own time zone.
  • White-glove setup — send us your roster spreadsheet (Rugby Xplorer export is fine) and we'll have your club live before your next training session.
  • A direct line to the roadmap — founding clubs' feedback and feature votes get priority. You're shaping the rugby club app.
  • In return we ask for honest feedback — and if we've earned it, a testimonial.

No card required and nothing renews automatically — when the founding period ends, your club chooses a plan or simply continues on the free plan. Offer limited to the first 50 rugby clubs based in California or Australia; one founding membership per club. Prices are in USD. Contact us via the support page with your club name, your location, and “Founding 50”.

FAQ

Common questions.

What rugby clubs ask us before switching.

Does ClubMeister support rugby union positions?
Yes. Lineups use real rugby union position templates — front row to back three — for both 15-a-side and 7s, with finishers/bench slots. Build the team sheet, assign players, and share it to club chat.
Can I run a rugby 7s tournament on ClubMeister?
Yes — tournaments are the League plan's headline feature: pools, brackets, kickoff schedules, referee score entry, and live public standings pages that spectators can follow without an account. Rugby clubs in the Founding 50 program — California and Australia — get League free, and we'll help set up your first tournament or sevens carnival.
Can Australian rugby clubs join the Founding 50?
Yes. The Founding 50 is open to rugby clubs based in California and in Australia — 50 founding spots shared across both. Australian clubs get the same deal: the League plan free through June 30, 2027, white-glove setup from a Rugby Xplorer export, and priority on the roadmap. Everything runs in your own time zone, so a Saturday 3pm AEDT kick-off is a Saturday 3pm kick-off for your players. See the Founding 50 program.
Does ClubMeister replace Rugby Xplorer or union registration?
No — and it isn't trying to. Rugby Xplorer handles membership registration and eligibility for Rugby Australia and USA Rugby; ClubMeister runs everything in between: training RSVPs, selection, team chat, match-day logistics, tournaments, and dues. Most clubs use both.
A match-day squad is 23 — does the free plan fit a rugby club?
Yes — the free plan covers up to 25 members, enough for a full match-day squad or a 7s side. Once your whole club grows past that (multiple sides, coaches and committee), the Club plan handles up to 100 members ($120/year) and League is unlimited ($290/year). Founding 50 clubs in California and Australia can skip the math: the program includes League free through June 2027.
How does ClubMeister compare to TeamSnap for a rugby club?
TeamSnap charges per team, so a club running seniors, a women's side, old boys, and juniors pays for four subscriptions — easily $500+/year — with ads on lower tiers. ClubMeister is priced per club: League covers unlimited teams and members for $290/year, ad-free, with rugby lineups, tournaments, and carpools built in. See the full TeamSnap comparison.
Which rugby formats does ClubMeister work for?
Rugby union 15s and 7s have dedicated lineup templates, and everything else — events, RSVPs, chat, tournaments, payments — is format-agnostic, so touch, tens, youth flag, and league sides run on it just as well.

Your club deserves better than a group chat.
